Ted, You are right when you say that those brands are no longer made in the USA. It’s a shame and it won’t change since the US government has added and continues to add more regulations on industries that force their hands to move their operations overseas. There are many knives and other products that are made well and made overseas. Thanks for you thoughts.

I think that by using the names SOG, Cold Steel and Buck you were trying to make a point about American made products. It should be pointed out, however, that many of the knives made by those three companies are made overseas, though many people do not think so.

Don’t get me wrong, they are quality products, but they are not 100% USA made as many people believe. I’ve never bought a Duck USA Knife, but I do buy another foreign brand that is a very well made knife brand. Quality can come from anywhere, and it doesn’t have to cost more! Thanks for the info about Duck USA.

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. Nevertheless think of if you added some great images or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this site could undeniably be one of the best in its field. Very good blog!
